Working with My Mind's Eye

Finally, I'm using one of my favourite patterned papers from MME - Lost & Found 2 collection (*which I have been hoarding). I did a layout for my cousin using a picture of her mum when she was a teenager. Over all, I used mostly MME products. I have also added some embellishments from Maggie Holmes. It took me only 15 mins to put together this layout.

Next up, is some Project Life spreads I did for May, June & July. Still lots of catching up to do but I'm almost there :D Definitely enjoying the process although I am very much behind. Just took some snapshots of the spreads I have completed.

Free Printables for Mother's Day (Updated)

This is my first time designing project life cards. I was playing with my DH's new toy the 53Pencil and started scribbling. Played with photoshop and came out with some of this. Since mother's day is just around the corner, I did some Mother's Day quote cards. Just click to enlarge image, then right click and "Save image as" to save to your PC, then print on A4 sized paper. Hope you will like it. Will design some for daddy, too :)

*** Sorry updated the file as the measurement of the first file was not accurate. >.< so sorry. Hiccups on my first free printables... pls forgive me. Hope this works for you. Let me know if you have any feedback. Thanks! ***

Documenting February & March

This time around I'm using a different layout for my spreads. These are a few of my favourite pocket design as well.

Some journalling on the pictures for a change.

A little bit of this and that on this spread, less journalling.

The last spread for February... Yeay!
P.S. : The sweet lil baby is Cindy's newborn, Annabelle. She's finally here.

Kicking off March by highlighting my recent Taiwan trip. I really wanted the trip to be summarised in a glance, a whole 9 days would be too much, hence, I decided to use the square pockets and place the pictures by days. I have also pre-labeled the pictures before printing as well, that way I know where the picture was taken on which day. :) Nothing fancy, just simple titles.

There are too many street food in Taiwan. I did the same layout for street food as well. I love how they turned out and how I can see everything in a spread.

I'm Back!

After a week long break, I'm back and home. Will blog about my trip to Taiwan soon. Mummy is finally home as well. After changing from hospital to hospital, and more than 2 weeks in the hospital, we finally found a good doctor who was able to root cause and make things better.

Time to catch up on Project Life. I'm almost a month behind! O.O I manage to finish up till mid feb as of now... Here's my lil "assistant" while I was taking pictures of my PL.

Well here goes, January - Page 5, 6 & 7.... Oh yes! I have 7 pages just for January! What an eventful month...

As we step into February, also another eventful month... :)

More to come as I'm determined to catch up till March! :)

After a long break...

Hey, How has your long break been? By now, everything should be falling back to normal as many has started working after the long break. Emails are pouring in. Before I know it, work is piling up.
Manage to update a PL page for January...

Oh, since Chap Goh Meh (Chinese Valentine's) falls on the same day as Valentine's Day, I bet it will be jam pack as all the lovey dovey couples enjoy some quality time on this special day... :)
In conjunction with such a loving day, I made a simple Valentine's Day card. So in love with Amy Tangerine's alpha stickers... :D

Tutorial : Creating your own project life card with Stamps

One morning last month, I woke to a Facebook post that says "The lucky random winner is… Josie Teh" Boy, did I jumped up from my bed! Yeay I won a giveaway from Kellie Stamps! Swoon. I have been waiting all week to use this pretty baby… :P

Here's what I did with it & I'm going to share it with you how I did it.

First, I trimmed a Bazzil Walnut Cream Cardstock into 4" x 6". Smooth card stocks tend to work better for stamping.

Next, I used Black embossing powder & heat embossed the Stamped sentiment.

I continue to stamp and filled up the whole paper with grey ink just like the picture below. I used a lighter ink to make the embossed sentiment more prominent.

I still find the stamped sentiment too dark. So, I used some white ink & I started dabbing all over the card.
The sentiments looks faded after applying white ink all over, just the way I wanted it.

To create the star, I used Studio Calico's Mistables. I used a dew drop in Galaxy gold color to apply the ink on to the Star.
Then, I applied some glitter using my favourite stickles (diamond)
 The result ...
I embellished the card with a journal tag, some stickers & a picture, we are all set.
The PL card is now ready :)

Have fun! :)

Project Life - June & Beginning of July

So, I've finally managed to crawl back in action for my Project life~! Yeay! I'm actually in love with how the pages are getting better each time, with better workflow too. Although, I'm not diligently creating my PL pages by week, I'm actually doing it by month now, which is so much more flexible as I go along. Really happy to be able to document life as it goes. Also, managed to convert both my Sister In Laws into project lifers :D WOOT! I'm still a about 2-3 months behind... but I'm glad that I'm still progressing. It's actually no that overwhelming if I don't stress so much on following "how" or "what" it should be. I guess alot of people get so caught up with how everyone else is doing it & get so overwhelmed.

On the spread above, I used some of Pink Paislee sentiment series goodies which I won from a IG giveaway... yeah!

Yeay! Stay tuned as I update more on the layouts I'm working on. Have a jolly good weekend.

Project Life Update - May

Working on the events in the month of May. It's a month to celebrate Mother's & I'm truly thankful to be celebrating it as a mother for the second year. :) I'm using the New Jade Collection from Becky Higgins for some of my journalling cards & it's really helping me speed up so I can catch up. Not forgetting, Dear Lizzy, Echo Park & Amy Tangerine are still my all time favorite... Also, I've decided not to confine my PL layout by weeks, that way I feel, is less overwhelming.

This is the first time I'm trying out this layout... It seems to work for me :)

If you wish to get hold of the new collection from Becky Higgins they are available locally at Scrappin Studio.

Thank you for dropping by.

Love Josie
