Project Life Update - May

Working on the events in the month of May. It's a month to celebrate Mother's & I'm truly thankful to be celebrating it as a mother for the second year. :) I'm using the New Jade Collection from Becky Higgins for some of my journalling cards & it's really helping me speed up so I can catch up. Not forgetting, Dear Lizzy, Echo Park & Amy Tangerine are still my all time favorite... Also, I've decided not to confine my PL layout by weeks, that way I feel, is less overwhelming.

This is the first time I'm trying out this layout... It seems to work for me :)

If you wish to get hold of the new collection from Becky Higgins they are available locally at Scrappin Studio.

Thank you for dropping by.

Love Josie

Happy Birthday

I can't imagine how fast time flies. Every year, I will make it a routine to make a card for my lil sister during her birthday. It's that time of the year again. I created a card using Studio Calico's Neverland kit & Crate Paper's The Pier Slide Frames. Working with blues and pinks, seemed to be my favorite colour combination these days... ^_^

In the card, I added a smaller frame :) The cute heart is from Prima.

Thank you for dropping by!

love, Josie

I really love this alphas from Amy Tangerine :)

What's your favourite layout for Project life? I think that Squares are quite fun to work with! :)

To the beach we go...

Hubby has been wanting to bring Lucas to the beach for quite awhile now. We have been delaying our outing as the weather has not been very corporative for the past weeks and hubby's busy work schedule did not permit us to do so. So, we were glad we were able to take Lucas to the beach even for a little while.  I was really itching to make a layout with the pictures we took of Lucas by the beach.

Also, Mei Li Paperie is have a July Summer Challenge. Here's my take of a summery layout (although we have summer all year round) >.<
I'm still in love with Amy Tangerine's Ready Set Go stickers & Dear Lizzy's too... Other favourites which I had included are embellishments from Crate Paper, Studio Calico & My Mind's Eye. Yes, I hoard stickers. I'm a sticker-holic.

Some close ups of my project :)
I also smudge some paint to give it some water colour look... I kinda like how it turned out.

Loved this moment - Bokeh Bubbles Layout

Here's my take for Crate Paper's Polka Dots Challenge. I'm so in love with the new Crate Paper The Pier Collection. Not forgetting the fabric frame from Maggie Holmes... I wanted to create a layout of Lucas enjoying his bath, and the polka dot challenge seem to fit. :)

Working with vellum has been quite fun! I wanted to create a bubble and bokeh look-alike layout. Let me share how I tint the vellum. I used a sponge and lightly tint the paper with distress ink. My all time favorite colours, Broken China & Tattered Rose. Because I didn't want my paper to move around, I place the paper on my silhouette cutting mat before I started. The sticky surface held the paper in place, just fine. After I'm done, off to the cameo. I cut random sizes of circles.

I started placing them randomly sticking them down with bits of glue tape.

The outcome :
They look like Bokeh to me. But Hubby thinks they are bubbles... :)
Either way, I love the effect ^_^

Thanks for dropping by!

Pinterest & Me

I was snooping around Pinterest and thought that I would search my name to see what comes up. So I typed 'josieteh'... and I was surprised to find my works show up. I'm exceptionally happy to see my card pinned by 2Psinabucket! And wow 42 repins... quite unreal I had to pinch myself. ^_^ I know, I know... I don't need a prize or trophy to be this happy... it's only 42 not even 100... haha, but it's enough to make me jump over the moon... :D Little Joys...

Project Life Update

Looks like I manage to squeeze in two more spreads for my Project life. The first spread pretty much created within the green/mint tones & the second spread using more of coral pinks.
