Mission to Create - Mission 19

As usual, my weekends are so packed, i try my best to squeeze in 20 mins of my time to play around with my papers and tools...

This week is a challenge week...After seeing Jessy's beautiful creation, i attempted to create a card for Mission to Create - Mission 19.
I like to keep my card plain and simple... :) sometimes i feel it's abit too simple.
It may be too simple for some... :)

But anyways, Here's my take (Hope you like it) -

Used 2 types of ribbons - Lace ribbon & Blue Satin Ribbon
Embossed White background & Butterfly (embossed with Cindy's embossing tool)
Have "Hugs" in the sentiments...
Not sure if pearls are considered bling :P (realised i didn't have anything to bling my butterfly from my limited stash)
Die cut butterfly.
Also Punched Butterfly attached to it for a dimensional feel.

Thinking of you

Another card i made during the weekend is less sunny :) Just posting it today.
I was playing around with pastel colors... Got a lil too hard working and started beading some embellishments on the card... Here's my second take... It's quite a plain card... Hope you like it.

Josie

A Fruitful Day~

A lil in the card making mood this morning, manage to make not only one but three cards :)
It's like a sudden burst of mojo... :D

First Card : Anniversary Present for Mr Y
.
A lil surprise dropped in the mail for Mr Y today :)... well not exactly through the mail.
I made a card for him this morning with dear lizzy papers. Here's the card...

3 brads from making memories & left over blue ribbon
(had the hardest time getting this tiny ribbon bow right)

the message inside :)

the big owl is Mr Y and the lil owl is me

Second Card : Father's Day card for daddy
Father's day is just around the corner so i made a card for daddy... :)
A very plain and simple card.

did some sewing on the pocket :)

Last but not least
Third Card : Thinking of You
Had some inspiration to do a more feminine and sweet card. Recently, i have been into the color pink... Used translucent flower paper from moof.

A mini gold safety pin is pinned in the center of the ribbon
Doily edge colored with Distressed ink to get the pinkish look.

Sewed around the words "Thinking of you"
Flower sticker from October afternoon.
Lace is placed layering above the words.

Materials used in three cards in no particular order:
hero arts stamps, prima stamps (owls), antalis cardstock (not sure if they r acid free), october afternoon sticker, making memories brads

Edited post to add in materials used.
So there you go altogether 3 cards :)

Thank you for dropping by... Hope you like them.

A Handmade gift for a dear friend~

She's has been the sweetest girl i have known, and life would have been less colourful without her presence. She was there all the way for me during my wedding and i know sometimes as friends we take each other for granted and stop communicating with each other after a long while...

I made her a card to remind her, i do cherish our friendship and that i love having her by my side.
It's not exactly a pro's design :) but i think she wouldn't mind. :P it's the thought that counts right? hehehe

finally had my butterfly punch

XOXO,
Josie
