Celebrating Love...

Woa... Time does fly when you are having fun! Can't believe it's a week already... January is definitely a celebration month for me :) Yesterday, was our 1st wedding anniversary! but because i had work on the same day, we only had a brief moment to celebrate after work... Hubby surprised me by showing up at my workplace. *grin* We went to a "German Bier House" nearby my work place to chill and had some snacks and drinks... very lovely. "Happy Anniversary dear! Thank for supporting me always!~"

Hubby pen his first words on his gift - Moleskin sketchbook

Also, we had guest at our house the whole week. Hubby's cousins from Aussie came to visit and it was definitely a week of non-stop hawker food galore. What a cool bunch to have around! :D Here's the shot of the crowd during our visit to the Penang Peranakan Mansion.

Triple Celebration!

What a wonderful & eventful weekend i had... :) My sister is home to surprise my dad on his birthday. We are glad our plan to surprise him was a success and he didn't suspect abit that my sister would be flying home from Aussie on his birthday. His reaction was priceless... We had Birthday noodle for lunch and Daddy blew his birthday cake.

That Saturday was filled with activities. As our dearest cousin also celebrated her 21st birthday that same day. She threw a party, attended by close friends and family. It was just lovely.

Birthday cards is definitely a must :D so this is what i did for my cousin, using Crate Paper PP, Chipboard, alpha stickers & for my dad, Dear Lizzy papers, hero art birthday stamp...

Hope you enjoyed your weekend as I did... :D

Getting my hands dirty!

Happy Friday everyone! Had a flu two days ago, good thing I wasn't working yesterday so managed to get my rest. Feeling much better now.

Since that i'm now working at a Smidapaper, it has it's pros and cons... :D
Pros are that you get to see all the pretty things in store everyday & looking at them just make you wanna craft even more. Well, of course the downside of working in a scrapbooking store would be ... Temptation... yup... d' temptation... everything just look so pretty, u can't help but buy something and go "ka-ching, ka-ching" (sound of the cash register) ^_^

:) so i had to buy it... Maya road love notes chipboard *evil grin*
I got into making something with it almost immediately... Got my hands dirty and started doing some paintwork, but it's not ready just yet, so i'm going to just post one "peekture"... Stay posted to see what i'm working on :D

I used to {heart} pink and turquoise... but this time around... I'm so in love with turquoise & persian red if there's such a red to begin with... LOL :D anyways, with valentines around the corner, my creations of love seems to consist a lot of this color combination...

The following card was made using Maya Road chipboards and Making Memories -So Sophie collection.

Summer in the land down under!

During Smidapaper's Christmas Crop party, we were given a crop challenge by Jessy... :)
I didn't manage to finish my layout on time... bummer :P but then again, it was really fun...
So finally I put in some final touches and journal a bit on the side... It's been awhile since my last layout...

Tada... the final layout...Materials from Studio Calico's kit and Pink Paislee.

A new beginning ...

The last few months has been filled with emotions for me... I've finally decided to take the plunge :) and do something that i've never thought i would ever do in my lifetime...

After some massive consideration, I made a bold move to work on something which is close to heart. It has been a journey for me... and this change doesn't come easy for those around me. I'm really grateful for their support and love shown to me when I told them "i'm quitting my job".

Today, I'm officially working with Smidapaper together with my crafty friend Cindy Lee. The store has so much potential and I happy to be part of it. Crafting is now part of my job... Thank you Sheila for giving this opportunity.

Some crafting I did this week :
