Tutorial : Photoshop & Your Silhoutte Cameo

Today, I'm going to share how to create this layout with photoshop & silhouette Cameo combined.

*title cut file from Pink Paislee

Firstly, launch photoshop and select File > New.
Next, select the width of the paper to be 12 inches, height to be 12 inches.
To draw a star, select the polygon tool & check Star & Indent sides by 50.
Make sure the colour is Black before you proceed with drawing the stars.

You can then compose the stars whichever way you like on the workspace.
Once you are done, save your file in a .png format.

Next, Launch your silhouette studio app. Open your earlier saved image.
Your saved file should appear on your silhouette studio workspace.
Next, select the trace function. Click on SELECT TRACE AREA.
Uncheck the HIGH PASS FILTER option.
Set the threshold to 100%.

Then, drag your cursor across the image. Make sure everything is covered.

When all the stars are highlighted, select Trace. You should be able to see a red outline for the stars.

Next, select the image & delete it, leaving only the cutting guides. As shown in picture below. Then, you are ready to send the job to silhouette.

I mat a gold foil paper behind the cardstock we cut earlier to created the background for the layout below. The gold foil paper I used didn't turned out as nice as it should as it started to crinkle on the sides...

The tile is a cut file from Pink Paislee. I painted it with glimmer glaze - Sugar cane, then applied my favourite stickles - diamond on it. Other elements from Maggie holmes flea market.

After a long break...

Hey, How has your long break been? By now, everything should be falling back to normal as many has started working after the long break. Emails are pouring in. Before I know it, work is piling up.
Manage to update a PL page for January...

Oh, since Chap Goh Meh (Chinese Valentine's) falls on the same day as Valentine's Day, I bet it will be jam pack as all the lovey dovey couples enjoy some quality time on this special day... :)
In conjunction with such a loving day, I made a simple Valentine's Day card. So in love with Amy Tangerine's alpha stickers... :D

It's Magic...

This is one of my favourite paper from Maggie Holmes Flea Market collection. I don't quite remember when was the last time I worked with a full pattern paper for a layout. Actually, I scrap this photo sometime ago... in fact, it's one of the first few layouts I did when I started scrapbooking. You can see it here :) You will notice some difference in my previous & current layout.

It's amazing how our conscience & feeling is reflected when creating. I added a lot of glitter to this layout... because glitter is like magic dust to me. How nice if glitters are really magic dust that could just whisk our problems away... Lots of fussy cutting & I love how the flowers are "falling" down gracefully...

A close-up of the glitter catching the sunlight...

Pop up dots are always a must. I love layering and creating dimensions with pop up dots.
