First post for 2017!

Here I am again, struggling to keep up with life. Now stepping into the month of July, only meant that 6 months just flew by. Every single weekend I yearn to have more time to be able to sit by my craftspace and just get my fingers dirty. Well, looking at the positive side of things, I am sitting here writing this blogpost today meant, yeay! I manage to create something this weekend.

So without further adieu, I would like to share 2 layouts I made for my sister who recently got hitched. :) It was such a beautiful wedding. I truly wish them all the happiness in the world.

I finally used my Crate Paper stash which I had been hoarding for some time now. Aren't the Flower accents & Vellum sentiments so very pretty! I also recently bought a Modelling Paste from Teresa Collins and it was so much fun playing with it. What have I been missing out for so long! It definitely help create texture to the layout. Here I created a brick wall mask using my silhouette and wala! This is the out come.

I also did some splatters with gelato from Faber Castell and Color Shine from Heidi Swapp. Here I used Gold & Mint Green Color Shine to create some splatters.

And of course the final outcome...

Next up, I created a rather monochromatic layout with only hues of blue, white and black. All materials from Felicity Jane. Lots of fussy cutting from one of the Patterned paper from London Kit & Ombre background paper was from Happy Day (Suse Fish) kit.

So There you go. I don't know if there is anyone still reading my blog :) but I hope if you are reading this, you enjoyed my work and it helps inspire you to create something too! Thank you for dropping by. - Yours Truly.

Layout : Sweet

I did a really simple layout for this precious photo of my DH and my son. Hearts are made from vellum. I used a blending tool/sponge with Distress Ink (Tattered Rose) & Tattered angel Glimmer Mist (Mel's dinner). For the mist, I sprayed it on a palette, and a few drops of water to lighten it. Just dip a bit of colour  & blend both colours over the vellum to create a sweet pink texture... (** if you dip too much, it might be too wet and vellum will start to curl during the process)
I hand cut out all the hearts in different sizes. Splattered some gold mist, adhere the vellum & photo & Wala!

Working with MME Chalk Studio

Last night, I tried to work out of my comfort zone using a dark background, one large photo & only one piece of patterned paper. Using my favourite brands mostly My Mind's Eye & some embellishments from Crate Paper, I managed to put together a Layout for my Wedding photo… :) More gold splatters from Heidi swap Color shine - Gold (my current fav). Hope you like it!

Thanks for looking!

And just like that... October is gone!

I'm always the busiest when it's the end of the year. Preparation for the holiday season, wedding season, birthdays, visiting relatives, etc, etc... I was telling my mum, how my schedule is packed till Mar next year... Unbelievable.

I have been neglecting my hubby and lil one last month, therefore, Nov is the time for me to unwind and spend some quality time with them. Just the three of us. I am looking forward to a short family trip with them this coming week... & maybe next... before we get busy again. :)

Here are some pics to reflect back on what I have been up to in Oct!

Crafting updates!

Hey there, finally I have some crafty updates to share with you! I have been making cards for the upcoming Hello! Street Fair organised by a local cafe, Huey & Wah

I am trying to get back my cardmaking mojo, after on hiatus for such a long time... Initially, I spent a good 30 mins staring blank at my materials and couldn't seem to get the cards done right. Hopefully, I am getting back my flair...

It's all about love

It's all about love this time around. Honestly, although this project was so much work, it was all worthwhile because I had so much fun doing it! This will be a wedding gift to my friends, Tang & Grace, whose wedding is this coming saturday. I hope they will love this gift as much as I love making them...

I adore everything about you!

Good Morning everyone!
It's just past midnight :) and I've just finished a layout. This week, Smidapaper stocked up loads of goodies and I can't help giving myself some shopping therapy. Using MME's Lost and Found collection, I created a layout with my pre-wedding photo. New & Pretty stuff does get me inspired. :D

Photo was taken at a train station at Taiping. One of my fave photos of all time. I just adore everything on this picture. :)

Celebrating Love...

Woa... Time does fly when you are having fun! Can't believe it's a week already... January is definitely a celebration month for me :) Yesterday, was our 1st wedding anniversary! but because i had work on the same day, we only had a brief moment to celebrate after work... Hubby surprised me by showing up at my workplace. *grin* We went to a "German Bier House" nearby my work place to chill and had some snacks and drinks... very lovely. "Happy Anniversary dear! Thank for supporting me always!~"

Hubby pen his first words on his gift - Moleskin sketchbook

Also, we had guest at our house the whole week. Hubby's cousins from Aussie came to visit and it was definitely a week of non-stop hawker food galore. What a cool bunch to have around! :D Here's the shot of the crowd during our visit to the Penang Peranakan Mansion.

Can I make it on time for Christmas?

Seems like recently I've been playing the missing game quite often. My sincere apologies. I've been away to attend my sister's graduation in Australia. We had a swell time. It was so awesome that I think I lost track of time... I can't believe it's christmas already?

So lil time, so many things to do, so many cards to send out, gosh...I might have to resort to e-cards :S I've been a bad blogger and a bad friend... still hope I'm able to send out my Christmas cards on time to all my friends... guess I'll have to burn midnight oil tonight then. If my cards don't reach on time I would like to wish all my Friends who are celebrating this holiday season " HAVE A BLESSED CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR"

Here are some cards I did that I would like to share...

Also, this card is for the 7th Case study challenge by Mariana Grigsby. Here's the case :
